VPG (Video Performance Guarantee) is a standard set by the CompactFlash Association (CFA) that certifies a memory card's minimum sustained write speed, the speed at which it can continuously write data without dropping frames, rather than just its peak speed. Cards are independently tested by CFA using a standardized protocol, so a VPG rating is a verified guarantee, not just a manufacturer's claim.
