How can I extend the lifespan of my storage media?

The following steps support the longevity of your storage media:

Storing your storage media safely in a place where it's not exposed to dust, moisture, etc.. The Angelbird Media Tank is a rock-solid case that keeps your memory cards safe and protected.
Always performing the latest camera firmware updates.
CFexpress media: Performing the latest media firmware updates combined with the Angelbird Firmware Update Tool and the Angelbird or RED® CFexpress Card Reader. Please note: Angelbird's Firmware Update Tool currently supports Angelbird CFexpress memory cards or RED® CFexpress Type B memory cards. Follow the detailed instructions here.
Formatting your storage media before each new production project or before using your media in a new camera/device model. Please ensure data backup before formatting.
Completely erase your storage media data using the format "Secure Erase" to regain the storage media's original "out-of-the-box" performance (we recommend doing this regularly after your card storage has been full 3-5 times) or when you are disposing/selling your media. Please just be sure to back up your data before erasing it.
