That’s why our collaboration with Red Bull X-Alps continues in 2026, expanding into the next stage of the world’s toughest adventure race with the Red Bull X-Alps Challenger. 
 
Built on a shared spirit of performance and exploration, Angelbird is proud to continue supporting this iconic alpine adventure. The Challenger edition represents an important step in the evolution of the Red Bull X-Alps ecosystem, a platform designed to inspire and prepare emerging elite adventure athletes.

Taking place on May 28–30 in Mayrhofen, Austria, the Red Bull X-Alps Challenger condenses the spirit of the legendary race into a three-day competition spanning four demanding disciplines: trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and paragliding. 
 
While the main Red Bull X-Alps race unfolds over nearly two weeks across the Alps, the Challenger captures its essence in a compact format. Beyond the competition, athletes connect with experienced Red Bull X-Alps veterans, gaining insights into the strategy, preparation, and mindset behind this iconic challenge.

One of the key ambitions behind the Challenger is to open the door for new talent. With dedicated rankings for women and men, the event creates equal opportunities and encourages greater diversity within the sport. 
 
Set in the spectacular alpine terrain of Mayrhofen in the Zillertal, the race offers everything needed for a true hike-and-fly experience: challenging terrain, iconic take-offs, and breathtaking views across the Austrian Alps.
